here it is... my heart

feel happiness and sadness. love with passion and tears. Live. Live here. Today. Not in the past, nor the future. Love your children in your heart. Tell them in a note, a call, a hug (if you’re fortunate enough to have one near). Please don’t regret something you cannot change. It will weigh you down. There is a lot around you if you open your eyes. Open your heart. let it Listen.

My New Friend

Yesterday morning my husband walked out to leave for work and… bam, there he was. I like him. He’s very cool. He’s fluffy and feathery. Today, while watching my step-girls walk to the bus, I saw two neighbor ladies looking around the neighborhood. In front yards, in back yards, in driveways. I wonder if they were looking for him? Last night we had strategically placed some bird seed near our front door to see if we could lure him. It did. He was here eating and then he was gone. I hope he comes back soon.

Sweet Meatloaf

Aw, meat loaf. Doesn't look very appetizing, but it packs a punch! My memories of meatloaf are few from my childhood days. I remember seeing it with sliced cheese melted over its top, and an underskirt of ketchup. Tried to reinvent it later during my second marriage to no avail. It crumbled in front of our eyes. A sort of sloppy joe without the joe. Third marriage... found something new. The Meat Loaf Sauce package. Why didn't I use it before? It works people! And now I am addicted to meat loaf. Two pounds hamburger, two eggs, 1/2 cup milk, two slices bread dried and crumbled and (drum roll please) the meat loaf sauce package... Beef It's what's for dinner.

I was swimming across the sky
Clouds and angels by my side
Then I realized that I was lonely
And it wasn't such a good thing

I was flying in paradise
In that ocean of star lights
I was looking for your smile in the wind
But there was nobody there this morning

Almost finished! A gift for my brother. He likes boats!
This is my 5th painting... had never painted on canvas before
I joined my art group last year "The Prodigal Painters". It's harder
than what I am used to: House paint on 4x8 foam boards and I
have always done pencil and graphite drawings. It's new to me.
I went to an art demo yesterday. I am not schooled, that's for sure! :O) It was abstract watercolor. I thought we would have huge canvases and gallons of paint and animals to help us paint.("bring in the elephant!") But it was a kind, funny, very talented, old man. His name is John Ringen. Here are a few of his paintings...
